aescape robot massage
Aescape is a fully automated, on-demand massage experience that combines cutting-edge robotics and artificial intelligence to deliver a personalized, high-quality massage. The system uses advanced sensors to map the body, adapting to its unique contours and tension points to provide a precise, firm, smooth, and consistent experience. Unlike human therapists, Aescape is always quiet and never fatigues, ensuring a reliable and continuous massage session every time

The product, if not executed thoughtfully, could come across as technologically advanced and potentially overwhelming due to its precision-driven design. To make it more welcoming, we intentionally incorporated softer, more organic forms in elements like the bolster, headrest, and armrest. By blending cutting-edge functionality with these gentle shapes, we achieved a balance between high-tech innovation and human-centered design.
Users interact with a digital control interface to seamlessly initiate their massage sessions, gaining real-time insight into the movement of the Aerpoints. To further enrich the experience, sound is integrated into the headrest, helping to foster a calming, meditative atmosphere.
Every moving part was carefully engineered to work in perfect harmony, adjusting to the unique needs of each user. Whether it's the intense demands of a professional athlete or the relaxation needs of a casual user, the system adapts, offering a tailored experience that optimizes comfort.
The bolster of the Aertable is designed to slide up and down to accommodate the user's knee and ankle positioning, depending on the type of massage they are receiving.
Bolster Development
The bolster was designed for functionality and comfort, supporting the knee during face-up massages and the ankle face-down. Storyboards mapped user flow and positioning, while extensive testing refined its form to ensure comfort, minimize user movement, and avoid interference with the robot arm.
Emergency Stop Button Development
An emergency stop is vital for robotic massage, allowing users to halt the system instantly if uncomfortable. We carefully analyzed and tested placement to ensure quick access for users of all sizes, iterating extensively to achieve a reliable and accessible solution.
Lighting Development
To balance the precision of massage robots with warmth, we focused on creating a relaxing atmosphere with the lighting. Adding an ambient light that emphasizes the emotional experience, rather than just the functional aspects, helped create an inviting experience that complements the robot's advanced capabilities.
